This December, I wanted to be involved. Anything Oblee this December I got involved.

“Beba charger na jacket” was always the phrase. As it has always been. Every December.

You remember the first time? That first time in January, when Rayvanny released “Huu mwaka ee ni mwaka wa kuforci?” then followed the “Salama, salama sijui wewe uko? Huku napewa nyama…” disclaimer, I’m not a bongo flava fan. Mark my words. But when it comes to Music, Sherehe na Mzinga please INVOLVE ME!

See, I’m not addicted to ALCOHOL. I’m not a victim not at all. But that first time, that first time I went to Habanos Lounge. I got attracted to it. You might be familiar with 1824, The Alchemist, Brew Bistro, or even the Red Room. And maybe these were those first spots you ever tasted bitter water….(Wine, Gin, Whisky or even KC pineapple)

That first time when you don’t know the types of alcohol, leave alone the names. That was my position earlier this year. But Iyanii (the musician) once said, “Sisi ni walevi, tunapenda kanyweso”

Talk about the law of attraction…

Trying out new tastes became a norm. Red wine like Pinot Noir, Riesling. Giberly London and Hendricks Gin. Not leaving out Captain Morgan and Hennessy. Plus the unbeatable one Caribia Gin. I would smell their taste and differentiate.

I hate cigarettes. But most of the main characters are smokers. Or maybe the script writer does it for the plot twist.

Honestly, I’d question what I love about alcohol. Maybe it’s the pink lips. But mzinga inaharibu maini. What I liked is the getting high. Not the blacking out. 50% not knowing what you’re doing. Or an added effect to what you're doing. I told you before that I’m not addicted to alcohol. Not a victim, not at all. But that effect. I love it.

Going to church on Saturdays was non-negotiable (By now you should know I’m an SDA). But I’d opt to listen to Watendawili’s advice on….

  Reading this makes me realize how FOMO steals our innocence , unlocks inner beasts in us that we didn't know we had and now it's under our personal responsibility to control them. The urge for more alcohol makes us wanting for more , but at what cost and point do we finally stop?
